More men come through the door asking about anti-wrinkle treatment than the public conversation tends to suggest. The questions are mostly the same as anyone else's — and the answers, in our view, should be just as honest.
The Anatomy
Why male treatment looks (and doses) different
Male facial muscles tend to be larger and more developed than female ones, particularly across the forehead and around the brow. In practice this means two things: a higher dose is usually needed to achieve the same degree of softening, and dose calibration matters more — too little and you won't see a result; too much and you risk a flatter, heavier look that doesn't suit a male face.
The treatment goal also tends to be different. Most men come in describing how they look at rest — “people keep asking if I'm angry,” “I look more tired than I feel,” or simply “the lines bother me in photos.” The aim is rarely to look transformed. It's to look like yourself, less stressed.

Male facial muscles are typically larger and stronger. The dose that works for someone else won't be the right dose for you — we calibrate to your anatomy, not a generic number.

Treatment typically lasts 3 to 4 months. You decide whether to maintain, take a break, or stop. There's no commitment to a series and no pressure at the follow-up review.

The Appointment
What to expect on the day
Your first appointment is a consultation, not a treatment. We sit down properly, talk through what brought you in, look at the area in good light, watch how the muscles move, and check your medical history. If treatment is appropriate, we discuss what's realistic and what dose suits you — not the other way around.
Treatment itself is short — usually under 30 minutes, including the time to clean the area, mark the injection points, and let any topical anaesthetic settle. Most men describe the injections as a brief pinch.
You'll leave looking essentially the same as when you came in. The result builds over the following 1–2 weeks. We book a brief two-week review so we can look at the outcome together before deciding on anything else.
Aftercare
The first 14 days
For the rest of treatment day, avoid heavy exercise (gym, running, weights), lying flat, prolonged heat (saunas, very hot showers), and rubbing the area. Most other normal activity is fine — including driving back to work and most desk-based tasks.
Softening usually begins around day 3, with full effect visible at around day 14. Movement returning over the following months is expected and normal — that's by design.
